The Low End Workers”

We seem to be forgetting the worker’s that are at the low end of the pay scale and they are very important for the upcoming new generation. Hope Brown from Kentucky has been a teacher for years and even went back to school for her masters program in secondary education because she loves teaching. She does admit she loves her job, but it just doesn’t pay the bills, so she went out and got a second job and also she donates blood twice a week to maintain.  The hours she puts in is like others  9 am to 4 pm and even if she tires overtime there she will not get paid.   Her second job is not so rewarding to her she works at an Arena dealing with the metal detectors  and some rudely crowds.

This is a cry though out the nations from either the teachers walking out on strike or complaining about leaving the job because of such a low pay scale. The Economic Policy Institute states,” in 1994, public-school teachers in the US earned 1.8% less per week and just last year they have them for 18.7% less of a pay check. Also Nationwide states, ” estimated average for public-schools salary is $58,950 according to National Center for Education Statistics”. With being a public teacher they will support the students from buying supplies and just lending a helping hand that is not coming out of the pay check this actually comes out their personal money that is not reimbursed.

This is our growing nation that needs teachers to teach the new society that is coming out. They deserve the best teaching because one day they will rule the world. I feel bad for the parents, if their won’t be teachers willing to show them the ropes because they not paying them enough then who will. The subject always is sept under the rugs and it should be a high paying job when dealing with some else kids. if we the nation trust the teachers to handle your creations that you made then I truly believe they deserve to be at a level to manage their pay scale to be higher.
